WC Contemporary Announces the Exclusive Representation of Fanja Bouts

AWC Contemporary is proud to announce the exclusive representation of Fanja Bouts across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Türkiye.

Based in Amsterdam, Fanja Bouts is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice encompasses textiles, printmaking, painting, and large-format comics. Her work is distinguished by a unique visual language that merges playful imagery with philosophical reflection, creating immersive compositions where recurring characters unfold within complex, satirical narratives. Through these layered worlds, Bouts examines themes of identity, society, ecology, and the human condition with both humor and critical insight.

Throughout her career, Bouts has participated in a wide range of exhibitions and interdisciplinary collaborations, including Manifesta Biennale: Cure and Care, TIME AND SPACE (2025), De Kracht van de Vrachtwacht: een Momentopname in het Bestaan van de Douane (2025), the 18th Conference of the International Society for Ecological Economics & 11th International Degrowth Conference, The Sacrilegious Supper (2024), and the Undisciplined podcast by Current Obsession.

This collaboration reflects AWC Contemporary’s ongoing commitment to representing internationally recognized artists whose practices expand the dialogue of contemporary art through conceptual depth and interdisciplinary approaches.
