In addition to serving as the Chairman of the Emirates Fine Arts Society from 2009 to 2010, Khalil also curated the 30th Emirates Fine Arts Society Annual Exhibition at the Sharjah Art Museum. while working as an active member on the Advisory Board of the Department of Visual Communication at the American University of Dubai, and serving as a panelist on the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award 2012.
